Roots To Excellence Administrator

Rooted in Culture. Driven by Learning. Built for Leadership.

Roots To Excellence is a new, Black Caribbean-focused Saturday programme for children and young people aged 8 to 16 with a mission: to empower children and young people of Caribbean heritage to excel academically, embrace their identity, build strong character, and achieve their highest aspirations.

Through a combination of academic tutoring, mentoring, and leadership development, R2E will work with children, parents, and schools to:

  • Foster confidence and a positive mindset
  • Raise academic achievement
  • Cultivate leadership skills
  • Strengthen cultural identity and resilience
  • Build community and self-reliance
  • Create opportunities at key educational transition point

We will also work closely with parents and schools to remove barriers, support learning at home, and celebrate diversity - ensuring consistent, holistic support for each young person.

LAE Tottenham seeks to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic individual to provide administrative support to our ambitious Roots To Excellence Saturday programme. This role will involve working proactively to manage the general office functions for the Roots to Excellence Programme, supporting the smooth delivery of sessions and acting as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff and prospective joiners. The Administrator is expected to maintain a positive and friendly image, supporting staff and ensuring effective communication both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities will centre around programme administrative support, communications, event planning & support, finance & procurement, data & record management and wider administrative support. (Further details of each of these component elements can be found in the attached Job Description).

The role is part-time (10 hours a week with the possibility of additional hours if needed).  Saturday mornings in person will be a requirement and there will be opportunities for some remote working where appropriate.
